Steven Grainger is a cross-disciplinary artist and performer who has been living and working in Brighton for the last fifteen years.

Working mainly in the field of theatre with over twenty productions to his credit including roles as musical director, composer, actor, writer, set designer and deviser for, amongst others, ‘Citizen Crowley’ and ‘Rasputin’ for Periplum Tree Theatre Company and ‘The Tempest’ and ‘A Midsummer’s Night Dream’ for Re:Action Theatre.

Having toured internationally for many years with street theatre company Pearshape Performance - ‘The Big Beatles’, ‘Elvis-the Tall Years’ and ‘The Big Wheeze’ -he is currently working with protoPLAY , co-producing ‘new art’ events.

Since studying Music and Visual Arts at The University of Brighton, Steven’s most recent project includes ‘Twitching’, a 30 minute film exploring the repetition of family traits over generations from the point of view of a family house.

The most pressing current project is the completion of a solo album of original music. ‘My Main Aim is to Please’ should be out in the summer under the name of Steven Vaughan.
