I thought we could have a categorie within ‘Planning and Discussion’, to post ideas we come across of events / commissions to apply to as a group?? - so here is one, pays £40.00 maybe each, maybe more.:

LIVE ARTISTS WANTED FOR MONTHLY EVENT AT THE BETHNAL GREEN WORKING MEN’S CLUB
4 MAY / 1 JUNE / 6 JULY / 3 AUGDeadline: 4 weeks prior to event.

The Magic Lantern Club is an ongoing live art night at the Bethnal Green Working Men’s Club, held on the first Friday of every month. Established in early 2006, we aim to push the boundaries of what artists working within a cabaret environment can offer. We are currently looking for submissions for this performance platform, especially-

-Transformed/themed environments
-Interactive/multi media installations
-On-stage/ environmental performance

If you would like to transform the club with a proposed theme or concept, we are interested in handing you the control of our environment.

If your idea is sculptural in nature, whether in spatial or time based terms, and requires an audience- we can offer that audience (up to 200 people per event).

If you would like to show a performance; from polished to scratch- from traditional entertainment to transgressive or abstract spectacle, we would like to hear from you.

Whatever your medium, we are open to as wide a spectrum of live art definitions as possible. We can pay stage performers a fee upwards of £40 per show, with negotiation dependent on scale and duration of work. Any environmental or sculptural work costs would be negotiated on it’s own terms, with resources (basic PA and LX are available) from the club itself available.
