What, when, where, who, why is pP?

Everyone,

Here are the questions that were posted out by Orion a few weeks ago, we had some general discussion about this during the 06/03/07 meeting. Please add comments ideas questions etc.

Although the most important thing is to get together and try, afresh, to make new work, there are still some decisions and administrative work that needs to be made. As we said, its important that we discuss these things on-line rather than using up working time during meetings.

1. What is pP? What is it for?

2. What are you expecting to get from being part of pP? /How much do you want to be involved? /Are there some specific task that you want to delegate/to manage?

3. How can we have a more regular activity/work?

4. How should pP continue/develop? /How should it come up with new projects?
/How should it decide which projects to do?

5. How should the members of pP work together, should we have a fixed time to meet up for example?
/How much of a problem is it for pP not to have its own studio space?

6. How should pP be organised? (How is pP organised?)
/The current situation of having pP sub-projects and sub-project managers
(e.g. Nadege: Deconstruction/Reconstruction, Grant: Sound Art Radio Show) , is it working?

7. Or what other structures should we employ? – should we simply try to make work together – if so who would organise it?

8. How do we decentralise control in pP? (at the moment Orion Nadege, and recently Thomas are making most of the decisions and work, meeting with BFAP, ArtsCouncil etc)
If we don’t manage to decentralise pP, is it really a ‘collective’? …and how will it continue?

9. What should we do to promote pP?

10. Soon we will be faced with the task of coming up with a three year plan for the collective,
on the one hand if we don’t do this it will be hard for us to get more funding and also perhaps to progress and grow
(the two are linked in the arts councils eyes).
On the other hand is this unrealistic for a young collective with little income, to commit to one year let alone 3?

11. What is the question that we should have asked here, but haven’t?
